When Matt's sway over his mind ceases, Eli will return to Samuel and continue to show loyalty to him.	Brave New World	+ Eli was only acting on Matt's command when he sold himself and Samuel out. + Eli has gone along with everything Samuel has ordered him to do. It would make sense that his loyalty remain when Matt's power over him fades. - He was starting to show some doubt later in the season, even saying to Matt "It doesn't matter what I want". • If a telepath damages his controllee's brain, they may serve them infinitely (as seen with Arthur and Angela). • Arthur had been tampering with Angela's thoughts over a longer period of time. Matt seemingly gave Eli one simple command which is probably not likely enough to damage his brain. - Matt may have re-written his entire personality.
Eli will be killed by a member of the Carnival.	Brave New World	+ Eli murdered Lydia. + Amanda killed Caleb by accident when he threatened her mother and her. She could do this by accident or deliberately to Eli. + Gail considered Lydia a true friend. She might seek revenge. + Edgar is an assassin who loved Lydia. He might seek revenge. - By the end of Volume Five, everyone from the Carnival realized that they had all been manipulated by Samuel. It is likely that more sympathy will be directed toward him than hatred. • Eli knew most of Samuel's plans; he obvious knew that Samuel ordered Lydia to be killed, and therefore isn't as innocent as everyone else that was manipulated by Samuel.
Eli's cloning ability functions by assembling ambient particles into a solid shape.	None	+ Eli's cloning ability appears to create copies of himself instantly and at range. One way this could be achieved would be by assembling existing particles (dust, dirt, perhaps even converted oxygen) into a cohesive form which Eli would then manipulate. This would explain the "mindlessness" of the clones, as well as why they are hollow and dissolve when "killed".
