Cites

1. This page is awesome.
2. I started adding citations. I went with the earliest episode in which the two characters are connected. This required some adjustments to the text (Eden and Sylar, for example.)
3. Where more than one character was listed on the same line and the episodes they first interacted with the target differed, I added a second cite and put them in corresponding order. (Mr. Bennet and the Haitian abducting Matt, for example: Mr. Bennet is in Collision, the Haitian is in OGL.)
4. Some of the citations are a bit tricky. For example, with D.L. and Niki, we know in Genesis that she has an estranged husband named D.L., we know in One Giant Leap that he's named D.L. Hawkins, but we don't see him until the end of Hiros. I went with OGL and added a note.--Hardvice (talk) 04:45, 2 February 2007 (EST)

3. I think it was a good idea to split them like that.

Lead Image Suggestions?

• This page is too cool to leave off the portals. Suggestions for a lead image? I'm personally leaning towards one of the more random meetings, like Hiro and Nathan in the diner.--Hardvice (talk) 05:17, 2 February 2007 (EST)
  • That's exactly what I was thinking! Another that would be cool (if it exists) is a bigger meeting of the minds. I don't think there's one big shot of everybody in NYC (except that cast photo with Milo's funny face).   • What about something that shows a network of connections between people graphically? Here's a picture I found that looks something like what I'm thinking. If somebody gets ambitious, it could maybe even have a bunch of little circles with each characters face in one and lines that depict the actual connections.--E rowe 18:21, 3 February 2007 (EST)

    • I do think something visually illustrative would make a good addition to the page, but not necessarily as the lead image. Lostpedia has some pretty good ones (informational and pictoral), including a chart and even a Kevin Bacon map. I don't think we necessarily need to go to that extreme, but if somebody wanted to chart it all out, I would love to see it! Other Supporting Characters?

The supporting characters not yet included are: Audrey, Tina, and Zach. Is it worth adding any of them?

• Tina (connected to Niki, D.L., and Micah)
• Zach (connected to Claire, Mr. Bennet, the Haitian and Chandra)
• Audrey (connected to Sylar, Ted, Matt, Mr. Bennet, Claire, Peter, and the Haitian)

I'd say "no" to Tina and probably Zach (his connections are pretty much all through Claire), but Audrey's worth consideration.--Hardvice (talk) 05:23, 2 February 2007 (EST)

I didn't think of Tina, but I thought about adding Zach and Audrey and Charles Deveaux. However, all their connections are basically the same as their counterparts. In fact the only reason I added Ando was because he's Huggerz69. Audrey was a tough one because she has a much more personal connection to Sylar than Matt, but it's still the same connection as Matt. Contact type

• We should definitely consider listing the type of contact (physical, verbal etc), though maybe that just matters with Peter. Bkdelong 16:58, 20 February 2007 (EST)
  • I think that would be more appropriate for empathic mimicry or Peter's history. If we start listing physical/verbal contact for everybody, it's going to get crazy. Who shot at whom

The Haitian shot Claude and Mr. Bennet shot at Peter, how should it say The Haitian's connection to Peter? Right now it says: Peter is shot at by the Haitian. (Unexpected), my attempt was Kind of awkward. -Level 17:33, 20 February 2007 (EST)

• Well, I think it's okay to say that the Haitian and Bennet were shooting at Peter and Claude. I'm sure the Haitian's goal was not specifically to shoot Claude, nor HRG's prime target Peter. But let me go ahead and tweak the wording a bit for you. We want to avoid listing people over and over again on this list...Maybe something like "Peter is pursued by the Haitian" or "Peter encounters the Haitian on the roof"... Addition of Image

  • I like the connections. I have two concerns: I'd hate to steal somebody else's work when we could recreate it without a problem. I also think there'd be a lot of maintenance to an image like that. I'm not opposed to creating a map like that, I just don't want to be the one to constantly update it.
