iTunes is a digital media player application for playing and organizing digital music and video files. The pilot episode for Heroes was available for a free download on iTunes on September 1, 2006, three weeks before it appeared on network television. Since then, episodes of Heroes has consistently appeared among the top 10 shows downloaded on iTunes.
