Let me get this: He's Sylar's adoptive father and Sylar's biological uncle? Or am I missing something? Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 11:38, 3 February 2009 (EST)

  • If Samson Gray is truly Sylar's father, (and Sylar's use of Lie detection on Martin Gray seems to have confirmed this), then you are correct. Samson is his father, and Martin (who raised Sylar with Virginia until he walked out on them) is his uncle. Martin and Virginia looks to only have been adoptive parents. (Unless Samson had a fling with Virginia). Now the bigger question I have is, "Who are Sylar's brothers?" ala Gray and Sons (emphasis on 'sons' plural).--HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 02/3/2009 11:43 (EST)
  • The Gray And Sons could refer to Sylar's grandfather and his father and uncle.... --Action Figure 18:28, 3 February 2009 (EST)
    • Then Virginia would be Sylar's aunt my marriage and... HEADACHE! Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 12:02, 3 February 2009 (EST)
      • I know in the past, the show has had biblical tie-ins, and this could be one. In the Old Testament levitical law, when a brother either died or abandoned a child, it was the responsibility of the oldest remaining brother to take the child in. Pretty soon me might see baby Sylar floating on the river in a basket :) --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 02/3/2009 12:18 (EST)
  • So, this guy is the watchmaker that owned Gray and Sons? -- Tristan0709 talk 23:31, 6 February 2009 (EST)
    • Possibly. There are some unanswered questions around this though. For instance. it seems odd that Sylar would go into the business his father (meaning Martin, since that's the father he knew at the time) started, even though his father had left town, and Sylar was too young to have learned the trade from Martin (what was it, 27 years ago that Martin left?)...There's also a good chance that it was Martin's father who started the business. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 10:29, 7 February 2009 (EST)
