I don't recall the context of Meredith's quote, but there is indeed a La Paz in Mexico as well as in Bolivia. La Paz, Mexico is the capital of Baja California Sur. The disambig page should probably simply refer to "La Paz", unless Meredith specified Bolivia or Mexico.
