Syren is a 16-year-old british psychopath with the ability of Intuitive aptitude.
Character History
James Rains was a previously a normal teenager, until he realised he had the ability to take powers from people. After discovering his parents (One of which being Claude Rains, an ex-worker of the company) had abilities themselves, a strange alternate personality of James, 'Syren', cropped up, and took control of the boy. He killed his parents and stole their abilities. He has been in search of new abilities since, and after discovering the existance of 'Sylar', he travelled to America to find him.
Abilities
Syren has the ability of Intuitive aptitude, a similar power to that of Sylar, though currently, only James Rain's alter-ego, Syren, has used it against people, whilst James has only used it to fix some electronics. The powers he has stolen so far have been:
- Flight (from Donna Wilson)
- Invisibility (from Claude Rains)
- Phasing (from unknown victim)
- Technopathy (from unknown victim)
- Telepathy (from unknown victim)

Hi, i'm James Rains. My dad's been gone for 13 years now, so it's just been me and my mum, Donna. She said that when he left, he was going off on a 'business venture'.. it must not have ended well.. Speaking of my mum, she's been rather shifty lately. I'm just wandering if she's gonna be okay.. Anyway, i'll probably update this thing monthly, Bye.
ENTRY #2: "News for all!" (Made Mar 4, 2006)
Hi, sorry for not updating on February, but i've been busy. Mom got a phone-call from DAD! He said that the business venture went badly, but he's coming home now! I can't wait! In other news, i've managed to figure out how to fix my phone. It's not that hard, all you have to do is work out how it works.. Anyway, seeya!
ENTRY #3: "HE'S HERE!!" (Made Apr 13, 2006)
DAD'S HERE! It's so great, since mum's happy and we're all a family. Dad went hiking with me today, and he MUST have been doing it alot in America, since he sometimes goes so much farther than me, that he seems to dissappear! My TV's broke.. nevermind. I'll talk more later, bye!

..My dad has superpowers. I was listening to mum and dad talking, and he said that he could turn invisible.. THEN MUM SAID SHE COULD FLY! This is just weird. Talk later. Oh, and by the way, i've fixed the TV. I took it apart and put it back together, fixed. I seem to know how everything works! Mum says it's a gift, but, ya know, not as good as flight..

I've been reading this book at school about superpowers, and it said that the power came from the mind. Heh, maybe if I took mum's brain, I'D be able to fly.. heheh. Bye.

Feels good to be back. I've been searching for new powers for a while, with no prevail. Feel free to contact me if you think you have a power. Oh, yeah, mum and dad died.. no worries, it was for a good cause.. mine.. i've got a ticket to America, a rumored 'HUB' of powers.. Oh yeah, and I go by a new name.. "Syren"..
ENTRY #8: "Why Syren?" (Made Dec 08, 2007)
I'll have to limit communications here, but let me give you a little explanation on my chosen moniker. After realising my ability (Something i've been told is known as "Intuitive aptitude"), I learnt of one other man with the same ability, a strange figure known in some theory groups on the web as 'Sylar'. Before, I would've laughed at these theories, thinking they were some nerd's fan-fictions. But now, seeing my own ability.. I just need someone who feels the same as I do. It's not like I have better things to do.. I mean, if things go bad, i'm sure I can just kill him and take his abilities. Anyway, he's been 'sighted' in America, so i'm going there to find him. Expect this to be my last entry.
