I feel this article should be allowed; the ability has been mentionned in the episode "Villains" already so it isn't really a spoiler. --Benserajian 21.48, 11 November 2008 (GMT)

But it's not an ability. Sincerely, Thrashmeister [ U | T | C ] 16:51, 11 November 2008 (EST)
Sylar's power is already defined as intuitive aptitude, ability transfer such as the way he does with himself is merely an application of the ability, just like healing yourself, others through blood and not aging are different effects of rapid cell regeneration, and as such are kept in one single page. • "Ability transfer" isn't really a specific ability, though; it is something that can occur as a result of at least three different abilities known to exist in the show: Empathic mimicry, Power absorption, and Intuitive aptitude (which allows Ability theft). Ability transfer, therefore, isn't a distinct ability, and there are already other pages that address the phenomenon. "Ability transfer" is something that would actually serve better as a Disambiguation page that redirects visitors to the other articles on the subject. --Ted C 16:53, 11 November 2008 (EST)
    • And I have implemented this change. --Ted C 16:59, 11 November 2008 (EST)
  • But Intuitive aptitude is just understanding how systemsn work, not on transfering power... --Benserajian 22.00, 11 November 2008 (GMT)
    • Intuitive aptitude is understanding how things work, yes. And Sylar's understanding of how abilities work is what allows him to take the abilities of others. He has to directly examine the brain and determine how the power works in order to manifest that power himself. This interpretation of his ability has been well established here for a long time. --Ted C 17:03, 11 November 2008 (EST)
  • Yes, but HOW is he capable of transferring power without having an ability? -- Benserajian 22.10, 11 November 2008 (GMT)
    • But he does have an ability. Sincerely, Thrashmeister [ U | T | C ] 17:12, 11 November 2008 (EST)
    • He does have an ability. Somehow his intuitive aptitude allows him to alter his own brain to manifest additional powers. We don't know exactly why that works for him, but he has an understanding of brain structure and chemistry that surpasses that of anyone else, so he is somehow able to pull it off. --Ted C 17:14, 11 November 2008 (EST)
  • But in an interview one of the writers has said that we're going to learn more about Sylar's ability and that he doesnt actually need to cut their head open to absorb their power...
