Energy?
It looks more like a gas or vapor to me. Closer to Tina Ramierez's chlorine than future terrorist's melting beam. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 12:50, 26 January 2010 (EST)
- Changed wording to be less speculative; since we don't get hardly anything from that one GN frame. --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 01/26/2010 13:05 (EST)
- I'm telling you, it's Green Emission--Icefire227 14:33, 26 January 2010 (EST)
- I think it's some kind of gas. Hope we'll get more information about this--GregorZ 14:35, 26 January 2010 (EST)
- Same, I agree with Intuitive Empath on this, it seems a lot like Chlorine gas exudation but just more sinister. --Leckie -- Talk 14:40, 26 January 2010 (EST)
- Nope. Eli's clones don't need to breath, so they can't be affected by chlorine gas.--Referos 14:43, 26 January 2010 (EST)
- They don't require breathing, it's different. If they didn't breathe, they wouldn't be able to speak. Also, GNs showed them having a breath during winter, the condensation and stuff. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 15:01, 26 January 2010 (EST)

- Yikes, such an unexplained power. Someone should try and contact one of the writers, because unless this guy shows up again we don't have a hope of ever naming this.--PJDEP - Need further explanation? 15:54, 26 January 2010 (EST)
- Finally! Someone who can fart from his hands(!) --Isaac Mendez 18:01, 26 January 2010 (EST)
Acid generation
I think its some kind of acid generation. Its a green color (a color usually associated with acid) and it could have easily disolved Eli's clone.--WarGrowlmon18 17:53, 26 January 2010 (EST)
I agree. Acid gas generation.--ERROR 20:54, 27 January 2010 (EST)
- There's not enough evidence to support that speculation. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:09, 27 January 2010 (EST)
- Then Becky would have been seriously hurt/burned when the ability was used on her...--Realistic
Ricky = Future terrorist?
They both seem to look similar, but we never really got a good look at the terrorist's face. Also its pretty likely (but not certain) that the terrorist's ability was synthetic, and we can rule that out for ricky. I think we'll have to get more conformation from the writers.--Piemanmoo 00:59, 27 January 2010 (EST)
- Agree. I can certainly draw parallels...but I don't think we know enough about either ability to truly compare and contrast them. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:15, 27 January 2010 (EST)
- They way the abilities are shown differ as well; Ricky's is more like a gas that he pushes outwards from his palms, the future terrorist's is more like a beam and it comes from his whole hand. The only similarity between the two abilities I can tell is the colour and the fact they have been used offensively. --mc_hammark 12:26, 27 January 2010 (EST)
...Why? The abilities are fundamentally different, as far as we can tell. Yeah, considering what we know about the two abilities, it's possible that they are the same ability, one emitting a liquid acid at high velocities, and the other generating acid gas. But I don't think so. We don't know enough about the two abilities to conclusively connect them. The future terrorist's ability could very well be emission of an energy, yet Ricky's is definately a gas emission. I say we keep the two abilities separate.--ERROR 21:01, 27 January 2010 (EST)
- Yes, we keep the pages separate, but there is absolutely no evidence that it is either gaseous or acidic. --mc_hammark 14:13, 28 January 2010 (EST)
- I agree, we should keep the abilities separate, but it does look like some sort of corrosive gas rather than a type of energy imho User:Shadowulf1 15:29, 28 January 2010 (EST)
Specials Ability Negation
The two times we've seen Ricky use his ability, he has 'turned off' or stopped the active execution of an ability. He blasted an Eli Clone, and it dematerialized like all his clones do when they are being "turned off", and he brought Becky out of her invisible cloak. In neither case, did Ricky's ability actually destroy matter like you would expect a destructive gas, ray, beam, whatever to do. With only two examples, this is the only result of his power than is linked to both exhibitions. He targeted a special with his green spray, and that target's ability stopped. --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 02/2/2010 10:14 (EST)
- Eli clones dematerialize when they're killed as well and blasting Bitchy probably broke her concentration on being invisible.--WarGrowlmon18 13:41, 2 February 2010 (EST)
Power-Negating Emission
I think Ricky's power does cut off powers, but it should be called Power-Negating Emission, because The Haitian's power also cuts off abilities (I don't care what anyone says; Mental manipulation and his power-blocking capability are two separate abilities)... User:Shadowulf1 15:39, 2 February 2010 (EST)
- The discussion above pretty much explains give you the answer. It would speculative to say that this energy beam negate abilities, considering how little it was elaborated. Eli's clones can be killed, and becky loses control over her ability once shocked. The writers simply didn't give us enough info to make actually rename this ability other than "Ricky's ability".
BTW, Only one ability per person in allowed in the Heroes world. Other " stem abilities" comes from a root ability.
- It's even MORE speculative to say that the ability is energy, when it wasn't overtly stated (looks like vapor or gas to me); and BTW, stem abilities, even if they come from root abilities, are still abilities (even if they are supposedly allowed only one ability, they get two; the poeple just count the two as one, THANKS!) >:(
User:Shadowulf1 16:19, 2 February 2010 (EST)
- Abilities come from the brain(translates to mind) so manipulating the mind would result to manipulating how abilities work, even to the point of suppression, which is what Rene can do. Mental Manipulation covers ability suppression, what more to conclude?--Realistic
