Talk:The Lord of the Rings
- Ummm, Aragon is half man half elf, also called Dunadan. Boromir is a man in the first book/movie from Minas Tirith.--Dance4thedead 23:18, 22 February 2010 (EST)
- The Dúnedain were a race of Men descended from the Númenóreans. Dúnedan means "man of the west". They were also Elf-friends, but they were of the race of Men, and certainly not half Elf. An couple which consisted of an Elf and a Man would produce a half-Elven child, who would would not belong to a distinct race from Elves and Men, and would ultimately have to choose to which race they belong. Although Elves and Men were able to mate and produce fertile offspring, their final fates are separate: Elves are immortal and whereas Men are mortal. Aragorn was mortal. He was of the race of Men. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:32, 22 February 2010 (EST)
