Random mimicry is the ability to absorb and mimic abilities at random.

Limits

This ability isn't so random to advanced users of this ability. As users of this ability get better at their ability, their ability evolves. They gain control over when they absorb and duplicate abilities, and their ability evolves into a ranged version of selective mimicry, and then evolves further, and the users of the ability are innately able to control their absorbed abilities, and are able to see exactly what can be done with their absorbed abilities, and what cannot be done with them. They can even do those things right off the bat, like Sylar, only they don't see how the absorbed abilities work. These ability evolutions are done step-by-step, and after years of practice, the ability eventually evolves into a selective version of omnipotent mimicry.

Those that are still in the first stages of controlling whether or not they absorb or duplicate an ability, and also have an empathic personality, like Peter once had, then as their ability evolves, it evolves into empathic mimicry, as it did with this guy.

I am still in the first stage of controlling this ability.

He has developed massive control over this ability. In fact, all he has left to improve is his range, though he doesn't have much time to improve that. He has plenty of abilities, anyways.
