MediaWiki talk:Titleblacklist
Notes and help
See related discussion at MediaWiki talk:Usernameblacklist. Quick primer:
This extension works similarly to the Username Blacklist extension, except if a regular expression is not clarified as "newaccountonly", it will also block articles from being created with the specified expression.
Also of note is that exceptions to the blacklist can be added at MediaWiki:Titlewhitelist. The whitelist could be useful if you need to allow an article or user account to be created with a longer than name than the set maximum. Admin has initialized max username length at 25 characters; there is no set maximum for article names.
The blacklisting/whitelisting can also be applied to image/audio files, if need be, by assigning the 'reupload' attribute to the regular expression.

- Should have "cock" been blocked from account creation? You should also consider putting RGS or something like that, since most of the new accounts have had it in the name. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 12:17, 21 December 2008 (EST)
