Eden's father and stepmother are constantly arguing. After one particularly bad night, he leaves and never returns.
Graphic Novel:Fathers and Daughters
After Eden's death, Mr. Bennet tracks down Eden's father; he is now much older but still an alcoholic. Eden's father's disinterest in his daughter enrages Mr. Bennet, and he exclaims that Eden overcame her past and died a hero. Eden's father finally shows some remorse, saying "I'm sorry. It's not my fault..." Walking away, Mr. Bennet tells The Haitian to "Don't erase everything. Leave the guilt."
