Alan Carter is the director for Heroes: Countdown to the Premiere.
About
Alan began his career as a music video editor, his big client being Phil Collins in the 1980s and 1990s. He transitioned into television when he edited a David Copperfield Magic Special for CBS in 1993, winning his first of two Emmys (nominated for three). Alan soon began directing and making his living as both a "live" and tape Variety director.
Among the productions Alan has directed are World's Most Dangerous Magic, Up Close and Personal: The Search for Miss America, United We Stand, Music in High Places, In Search of the Partridge Family, Nick & Jessica's Family Christmas, My Kind of Town, Dancing with the Stars (Dance Off), But Can They Sing?, The One: Making a Music Star, Great Performances, Phenomenon, Clash of the Choirs, Your Mama Don't Dance, and Deal or No Deal. Some of the recurring shows he has directed include a number of Miss America Pageants, Critics' Choice Awards, Screen Actors Guild Awards, CMT Music Awards, Taurus World Stunt Awards, ALMA Awards, and Moving Image Salutes.
