why I uploaded and why I see the symbol

I think this picture is better exactly because is larger and shows better the "blood stain" on her left face - what is under discussion.

I think that there is the symbol exactly because the director wanted to mark that this was Jessica and not Niki.

• If you can rewatch the episode (at approx 11min 58 sec), pls note that the light of a blinking spot briefly shines on the "stain" twice, exactly in order to make it more visible. --RicSantiago 12:38, 24 March 2007 (EDT)
• I dunno. It kinda looks like The Symbol, more than a lot of them ... but the early appearances of the Symbol weren't even a little bit sneaky ... they pretty much hit you over the head with it (the one in the pool, Claire's book, the Haitian's necklace, etc.). This would have been the very first appearance of the Symbol (and the only appearance in Genesis at all), and it's backwards.
