Talk:Wandering Rocks
According to an Inside Heroes video, the set for Wandering Rocks was built in the same location as the Burnt Toast Diner. According to Ruth Ammon, the pub's design was inspired by McSorley's in New York. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:14, 31 July 2007 (EDT)
Odyssey / Ulysses
The Wandering Rocks is the title for episode 10 of James Joyce's Ulysses, where several major and minor characters knock about Dublin in the afternoon. As Joyce's Ulysses is based on Homer's Odyssey, the title is a reference to the Symplegades, the Clashing Rocks. I am sure there is a lot of symbolism to mine here. The Rocks in the Odyssey would move in the mist and capsize ships. The episode bearing the name in Ulysses contains what are described as textual traps for the reader. So, in short: Peter! It's a trap! -- FissionChips 15:38, 5 October 2007 (EDT)
- Peter and Petrelli are both sourced from the Latin for "rock." And he's lost his identity and hi way. Oh, the ironing! :o --NissanVersaDootDoot 16:44, 5 October 2007 (EDT)
