I'm just going to discuss here the name for the CVPD desk officer. There was a label in the iStory, "Costa Verde Police Station". I think this was simply stating the setting for the scene. It also makes sense that the CVPD would be stationed at a building called the Costa Verde Police Station. Further, all our other law enforcement-related characters with their agency's initials in their names are named after the department they work for, not the station they work at (LVPD detective, NYPD officer, etc.) Thoughts? --Radicell 10:33, 29 August 2009 (EDT)

  • I don't know enough about the difference between a police station and a police department to make an informed decision. I was just going off of the text in iStory, which calls it a police station. I don't think we necessarily need to have consistency between the format for the name of the police force in one city and that of another city. Plus, the detective and officer seem to be at a "different level" than a desk officer...but again, I don't know enough to say one way or another. I'm just using what's given in the iStory. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:04, 29 August 2009 (EDT)
    • What bothers me the most is the "CVPS" bit. It just seems a bit nonstandard to create an acronym out of "Police Station". I understand that the iStory says "Costa Verde Police Station", but it makes sense that the Police Station is the headquarters of the Police Department, an agency. Since the desk officer works at the Police Station, can it be concluded that he works for the Police Department? --Radicell 23:05, 29 August 2009 (EDT)
      • Yeah, I guess. Like I said, I don't know enough about the difference to make an informed decision. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:07, 29 August 2009 (EDT)
        • So, with the above evidence, would you mind if the name was changed to CVPD? --Radicell 04:11, 2 September 2009 (EDT)
