Template talk:Targetsimagemap
Change
I like the decision to change this template into just a photographic listing of all the targets rather than a recreation of the board which keeps changing. Bravo on the work, too. It looks fantastic.
When I want to view one picture by itself, though, I can't click on the picture to view it. It takes me to the page about the character rather than the picture. This might be redundant since the link right below the picture also takes me to the person's page. Wouldn't it be better to make the images link to the images, and the names link to the articles about the people? Something more along the lines of what I've done above... -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 21:25, 4 March 2009 (EST)
- I used the Group of Twelve imagemap as my basis, and what it did was link the picture to the character page. In the case of my map here, we have two different groups. Most pictures are of unknowns who don't have character pages, therefore they click to their image; but the ones who we do have character pages, click to their character page. However, now that I have added name captions to the known pictures, there is no reason for the picture itself to link to the character page; so I'll modify them to click to their picture. Makes sense. --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 03/5/2009 08:58 (EST)
Issue with Target page
Hi Iam fairly new to this. Anyway on Target photographs of main characters are quite confusing and looks mess. I dont know how to edit. Many thanks! Hopwas2007 12:11, 25 March 2009 (EDT)
- I think it actually looks pretty good...but if you'd like to edit the gallery, it's found at Template:Targetsimagemap. If you have something specific you'd like to see or something you'd like to change or an idea of how to organize it, feel free to drop me a line. You can also let HiroDynoSlayer know (here's his talk page) since it's kind of his pet project. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:10, 25 March 2009 (EDT)
- I've noticed it as well, the second top bar overlays the top one --IronyUTC CH 15:14, 25 March 2009 (EDT)
- Thats what I am talking about. Picture of Knox is NOT Knox etc. Hopwas2007 15:20, 25 March 2009 (EDT)
- It looks fine to me. Can somebody take a screenshot so I can see what the issue is? -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 16:02, 25 March 2009 (EDT)
- It's Image:Targets Problem.jpg, as you can see for: Claire, Luke Monica, Doyle, the Haitian and Daphne there is no name bu the bottom overlaps, I think it should look like the other ones on that row. (Feel free to delete that image as soon as the problem is fixed). Thanks --IronyUTC CH 16:20, 25 March 2009 (EDT)
- I need to go grab my son from somebody's house. I'll take a look when I get back. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 16:24, 25 March 2009 (EDT)
- What kind of computer do you use? Operating system? Web browser? Do you know what screen resolution you have? -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 16:25, 25 March 2009 (EDT)
- Okay, I updated some of the code, but I'm not sure if it helped or not. My computer is still showing it to be fine. If you could take a look and let me know, that'd be great. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:07, 25 March 2009 (EDT)
- Fixed it, just removed "ietop: 66px;". I also removed extra < br >s that were no longer needed and added </ center >s as not having them made it so in IE everything after was centered, including the tabs at the top. Man I hate editing in IE with it's "smart selection", and the way it scrolls when you delete things, and IE8 is really slow at doing things like opening a link in a new tab. -Lөvөl 15:44, 26 March 2009 (EDT)
- I've never been a fan of IE. I'm a Firefox guy myself. Thanks for fixing that all up, Level. As always, you rock, dude! :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 16:31, 26 March 2009 (EDT)
