Syahmi

Syahmi Nasim is a characater in Heroes with the ability to mimic a prawn.

Character History

Syahmi Nasim was an electrical engineering undergraduate student at the University of Sydney where he was working on his final year thesis. One day while eating a prawn sandwich as his lunch in the laboratorary (which he wasn't supposed to do) an explosion of the California Instruments AC Power source released radiation which caused the genes in the prawn to fuse with his. Surviving the explosion due to a sudden growth of an outer shell like a Prawn, Syahmi survived the explosion and gained the ability to mimic a prawn. This includes putting his fingers together to mimic a claw and grow an outer shell to protect himself from attacks.

Heroes Evolution

With his newfound abilities, Syahmi first attempted to become a proper superhero by preventing crime. However, his physical appearance and pathetic abilities resulted in many failed attempts, much to the amusement of the villains he faced and the general public as a whole, in particular being called names like "Shirtlifter" and "Nancy Boy". Dejected and humiliated, Syahmi turned to a life of crime instead, molesting old ladies and robbing young children of their pocket money.

Battles with other Heroes

Syahmi almost met his demise when Sylar learnt of his abilities. However witnessing his abilities disgusted Sylar so much that he walked off, proclaiming "That's the worse ability I ever saw. Fookin' prawns." Peter Petrelli also attempted to defeat Syahmi and end his criminal career but decided it was not worth the effort.

Personal Life

Syahmi has a peculiar liking for cat food. He is also rumoured to be gay and is looking for a suitable partner in District 9, Johannesburg, Africa.
