In 1990, the Company sends Claude Rains and his first partner Haram to the French Riviera after Rollo. Rollo is found on a yacht, with two apparent hostages, a man named Monsieur Pizet, and a woman Rollo identifies as Pizet's "lovely lady friend". When Haram demands that Rollo let the hostages go, Rollo threatens to detonate explosives.
