Graphic Novel:Reaching Out, Part 1

Tracy Strauss enlists the help of Eli to create a new training facility and home for specials in Savannah, GA. One of the first trainees they work with is Ricky, who practices his ability on one of the Eli clones. After meeting with Tracy at the Burnt Toast Diner, Angela Petrelli donates a check to Tracy for the facility after Tracy tells her that if Coyote Sands had this type of facility, it might have helped her sister. Tracy then returns to the facility to find Ricky and Eli talking. When Ricky leaves the room so Eli and Tracy can talk, an invisible assailant grabs a knife and prepares to stab Tracy.

Graphic Novel:Reaching Out, Part 2

Tracy finds out that the Eli's clones are double-crossing her, and are only participating in the venture to kill her. They enlist Becky to use her invisibility to knife Tracy in the back while being distracted by talking with one of the Eli's clones. Just as Becky prepares to stab Tracy, she materializes enough that Ricky, who is coming into the room, sees Becky yielding the knife, and he blasts her and stuns her back to visibility, causing her to miss her target. She apologizes to the Eli's clones calling him "uncle", and then disappears. Knowing their cover is blown, the Eli's clones clones begin shooting at Tracy, breaking a mirror and sink in the bathroom. Realizing Ricky and the other trainees might be in danger, Tracy casts a wide-ranging deep-freeze within the house, to catch Becky in her invisible form just as she is about to stab Ricky. Afterward, Tracy praises Ricky for his help, and asks him to be in charge of the facility while she leaves to help Lauren Gilmore.

Notes

• The specials training facility is similar to the "Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters" from the X-Men franchise.
