Methods

Sylar's victims have been killed by several methods:

• Freezing them
• Impaling them with objects via Telekinesis

Additionally, some victims are then decapitated, and their brains removed. The purpose for this act is currently unknown.

• Mohinder Suresh discovers that Sylar owns an extensive collection of autopsy books in his apartment. It is implied that Sylar is perfecting his technique.
• Not every victim is killed in this manner, possibly indicating Sylar is targeting evolved humans for brain removal.

Notes

• Audrey Hanson had mistakenly attributed the death of Dr. Robert Fresco to Sylar in Nothing to Hide.

Fan Theories

• Sylar also possesses the power of cryokinetics, the ability to control temperature. If true, then he is the only evolved human that has been shown to have more than one major power.
