The season 2 alternate ending from the DVD displays too more nosebleeds (one drawn via storyboards, one actual one). Should these be noted in a notes section? --[[User:NovaX81|NovaX81]] 17:58, 7 January 2009 (EST)

Graphic Novel Nosebleed Examples?

I sure can't think of any, but would be surprised if there aren't any; with 117 GNs out there. Can anyone else think of any nosebleed examples I've overlooked? !!!

The closest things of a nosebleed I can remember are Hana coughing blood when the virus attacked her and perhaps a Maya victim oozing black blood, though I'm not sure it was from the nose. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 15:50, 23 December 2008 (EST)
  • Yeah I found the Hana one too, but it wasn't a backload from her using her ability, but just a result of space blowing up her insides. I also thought Rachel would be one, until I re-reviewed the webisode, and saw that she had a nosebleed "before" she teleported. The only other one I could find that might fit is Matt's death from being overloaded with too much data; but in his picture, he is bleeding from the ear, not the nose. However, since it is a case of power-overload, perhaps it could be shown anyway, as a variation. I'll put it up, and hope some others can be remembered. --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 12/23/2008 16:26 (EST)
    • I think it's a pretty good list. I've been collecting a list of nosebleeds on my to do list for awhile now, and it looks like you've got all the examples I've thought of. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 18:15, 23 December 2008 (EST)

Power nosebleeds

Are we only including nosebleeds that came about as a result of power overloads in this page? No nosebleeds from fights or anything like that? Sincerely, Thrashmeister [ U | T | C ] 18:17, 23 December 2008 (EST)

  • Yeah the intent of this thread is just to show where a power-overload spawned a bleeding. I suppose because of Matt Neuenberg's ear-bleeding; we could have called it powerbleed, but in most cases the heroes writers seem to usually show this as a nosebleed; so that's why I went that direction with the name. I know there are some nosebleeds as a result of fistfighting, etc....but those really aren't significant as worthwhile reference sources IMO...no different than when people get punched in the jaw. If you guys think we should change the name to powerbleed, or something similar, I'd be fine with that too. --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 12/23/2008 18:27 (EST)
    • I don't think we need to do that. Matt's case was really the only instance that an overload resulted in a bleeding ear... I suppose we can just make a note of that. Or we could just make a general page for power overloading to include Peter losing control of his abilities? And Meredith too? Sincerely, Thrashmeister [ U | T | C ] 18:34, 23 December 2008 (EST)
      • The nosebleed seems to be a specific heroes re-occurance, so let's keep it its own page. I put a comment about Matt's ear as it is. If we make a Power overload page later for things like Meredith and Peter; we can add a see-also for this page.--HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 12/23/2008 18:36 (EST)
        • I agree. I think the page should focus only "unusual" nosebleeds. The lead sentence right now says it very well: "A nosebleed often occurs when evolved humans strain to use their abilities beyond their normal limits." I think the name is fine, and the page should only focus on nosebleeds, not on power overloading. That's a pretty subjective idea. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 20:15, 23 December 2008 (EST)
