Revision as of 05:56, 17 January 2008
Few drug references
Some things that are minor but may/may not be included:
- Drugs administered to Niki in prison/psych ward
- The headache medicine Matt took (often)
- The sedative Mr. Bennet gave to Claire to give to Ted
I would think of more, but it's past 4AM.--Bob 05:19, 31 March 2007 (EDT)
- ...and you're drunk, don't forget. :) ... I think these are interesting, but I'm not sure we have enough info to warrant an article. Although, perhaps there's enough we could scrounge up about Ted's sedative. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 09:49, 31 March 2007 (EDT)
- Hey, hey, I'm pretty capable when intoxicated. Just trying to list all drugs that were used on the show. Also since we don't know what specific sedative was used for Ted or Niki, we could group those two together. And, Matt and Peter used the aspirin/Tylenol/Advil/whatever.--Bob 16:23, 31 March 2007 (EDT)
- Okay, what are some more drugs we could add? --Hero!(talk)(contribs) 21:58, 12 June 2007 (EDT)
- I don't know if I would search for drugs to add. When one presents itself, we can add an article. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:36, 12 June 2007 (EDT)
Drugs infobox?
I got to thinking: the drugs articles have a glaring inconsistency between one another, namely Which infobox they use. Two different infoboxes, which hold different things, are used. This creates a a few problems; one cosmetic the other a bit more technical. I ilustrate:
Glycimerine and the ability negation pills are entirely fictional with no Wikipedia entry, but they have an owner. Thusly, with room for an owner in the template, the light orange "Items" infobox is used.
Alcohol, heroin, and opium do exist in the real world and have a Wikipedia article on them, and have no owner. Thusly, with room for a Wikipedia article in the template, the blue "References" infobox is appropriate because the Wikipedia article can be neatly put in the infobox. There lies the cosmetic problem.
The technical glitch is a drug named curare. It is a real drug with Wikipedia article, and it is owned by somebody named Mohinder. Without changes to one of the templates, or a new template made, we cant show both owner and Wikipedia entry in its infobox.
I tried to perform the necessary surgery to one of the templates, but, in opening it up, the guts were too foreign for me to mess with. Might a new template be made just for the drugs, or could the necessary surgery be made to one of the templates so that (1) all the essential information on a given drug, fictional or no, can be contained in its infobox and (2) we can have a consistent appearance throughout these articles? --SacValleyDweller (talk) 00:56, 17 January 2008 (EST)
