So the swordsmith is the origin of smith in Smith & Wesson? Heh. Seriously, in 1671 there's not supposed to be rifles, not even muskets... not Japan, not anywhere until the 1800's! This makes the swordsmith the inventor of the rifle, and thus totally re-writes history with Japan winning WWII? So when Peter goes to the future 2008, is this the one where Japan won the war or it didn't? Hmm.--[[User:MiamiVolts|MiamiVolts]] ([[User_talk:MiamiVolts|talk]]) 23:56, 29 October 2007 (EDT) |

Is this necessary? He's only been mentioned by name, and I don't even think we have a spoiler for him. I could be wrong on that last part, don't tell me if I am. We don't need a page for him. Not yet.--Riddler 15:25, 5 October 2007 (EDT)
- Since Hiro and Takezo need to go save him, I'm sure he's going to end up with an article. When we know something's going to definitely have an article and we already have some information on it then it's usually beneficial to create the article early. (Admin 15:35, 5 October 2007 (EDT))
- He was on the Checklist and I wanted experience at creating a character page. Let me fry the little fish before I go for the big ones, dammit! :D--NissanVersaDootDoot 15:38, 5 October 2007 (EDT)
- Don't worry... it's common for us to question whether certain new articles need to exist. In fact, I do it a lot. :) But in this case I definitely see the value in it. (Admin 15:41, 5 October 2007 (EDT))
- The father of a major character? Yeah, I'd say he's as deserving of an article as Ishi, Matthew, or even McSorley or Harry Fletcher. Plus, I have a feeling that, since he is so often been mentioned (never by name, only as "the swordsmith" or "Yaeko's father"), I have a feeling he might play a semi-important role. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:45, 5 October 2007 (EDT)
The swordsmith
So the swordsmith is the origin of smith in Smith & Wesson? Heh. Seriously, in 1671 there's not supposed to be rifles, not even muskets... not Japan, not anywhere until the 1800's! This makes the swordsmith the inventor of the rifle, and thus totally re-writes history with Japan winning WWII? So when Peter goes to the future 2008, is this the one where Japan won the war or it didn't? Hmm.--MiamiVolts (talk) 23:56, 29 October 2007 (EDT)
