In [[chapter 6 of Slow Burn]], [[The Watcher]] assigns [[Chris Bowman]] to watch Josh and his brother [[Evan Davis|Evan]] and find out what their secrets are. As they get off their shift, they head into the parking lot, and Josh [[Shape shifting|changes back into his normal self]], remarking it is good to be back in his own body. Chris approaches the two and asks if he can come with them, and they say yes. They steal a car, and Josh reveals to Chris that they are not really twins, but it is useful to pass themselves off as such. Before they head into a bar, Josh shifts into a blond, muscular body. While Evan heads out back, Josh and Chris meet up with [[Draph]], and attempt to pick up girls. While playing pool with [[Red haired girl|one]], her [[Bill|boyfriend]] becomes angry and attacks him. Evan returns, and breaks a pool stick over the guys back, but he hardly notices.
