Principal Marks asks Claire and Jackie to line up with the other cheerleaders for Sheriff Davidson so that Officer Ramsford, the firefighter to whom Claire brought the injured man, can identify the girl responsible. Marks expresses surprise that the hero is so reluctant to come forward.
