Operation: Lonestar's original objective was to rescue the crew of a downed Skyhawk.
Character History
Graphic Novel:War Buddies, Part 2
During the Vietnam War, five soldiers are on a top secret mission to find and rescue the crew of a downed plane. To preserve confidentiality, the five man give up their identities. On their way, they are met by heavy Viet Cong fire, which kills three men, leaving Dallas and Austin to carry out the mission.
Graphic Novel:War Buddies, Part 3
After interrogating a captured Viet Cong soldier, Dallas and Austin find the downed plane. They find that the crew is dead, killed by the Viet Cong. Dallas checks the deceased crew's guns and, seeing that they are out of ammunition, induce that they fought hard before succumbing to the enemy. Later, Dallas and Austin decide to take up the dead crew's mission, the destruction of Au Co.
