While providing backup for Thompson, Jr. and Donna Dunlap, he refers to the two as "just a couple of kids who don't know what's what", adding that Bennet always had a back up plan when they took orders from him. He also refers to Elle Bishop as "the hot one with electrical powers".
Later, the squad member follows Sean Fallon and the rest of the team to investigate an explosion. They find Thompson Jr. and Donna on the floor motionless, and their target, Lewis, raging.
