re: need my own sandbox

Yesterday, I created a page in the Heroes Wiki:Sandbox, and made a personal subpage out of it using the move tool. I probably bunged up the sandbox in the process, though, and I dont want to do that again when I need to do something like that again. I don't know how else to create a personal subpage. so can I get a sandbox of my own to use for that purpose and a link to said creation in my main userpage, please? thanks!--SacValleyDweller 19:26, 18 October 2007 (EDT)

  • Okay, I created a sandbox for you. The link is User:SacValleyDweller/Sandbox. Don't worry about bunging up the site sandbox, I took care of it for you. I moved it back so it would preserve the history (there's things I've done in there way back when that I like to go back and check every once in awhile). I then recreated the dubious canon page you made--the link is User:SacValleyDweller/Non or Dubious Canon‎. By the way, in the future, if you ever want to create a subpage for yourself, it's pretty simple. Just type in the name you want for the page (User:SacValleyDweller/Example, for instance) into the search bar, hit "go", then click the red link. Or, you can create a red link on your userpage, click the red link, then start editing away. If you ever need help, don't hesitate to ask. :) -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 19:36, 18 October 2007 (EDT)

Re : You dont watch Heroes anymore?

  • I'm just double checking what you want to say in your userpage, since English isn't your native language. Your usage of the term "Used to Watch" leads me to believe that you don't watch Heroes, or the other shows in the list, anymore because you dont like it, or some other reason other than that you are waiting for Season 2 to air. I used to watch The Simpsons, but I don't now because I no longer like the show. I watch Heroes, but I am not watching it because I am waiting for Season 2 to air. (SacValleyDweller 16:18, 3 September 2007 (EDT))
    • No, that's probably a misstake of mine.. My userpage is outdated, I mean, my english is supposed to be better know hehe, so I probably should rewrite the entire page.. I actually continue to follow Heroes just like you all, I'm waiting for season two to begin. :] ps : I still love the simpsons :) --  (talk) 16:59, 3 September 2007 (EDT)

Old News: A suggestion on bettering my user page

  • Hi! Here's a tip. Might want to blurb or box the help on your userpage so that it fits nicer.--MiamiVolts (talk) 22:41, 27 August 2007 (EDT)
    • I think Miami might be talking about doing something like this: {{blurb}}{{helpbox}}{{blurbclose}}. It would put a blurb around the helpbox, causing it to be left-aligned instead of right-. Try it on your page, preview it, and see if you like it. It's not my favorite, but at least it takes care of the layout. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:48, 28 August 2007 (EDT)
      • Thanks, now how do I stick the text in that section next to the left aligned help box. SacValleyDweller 01:52, 28 August 2007 (EDT)
        • Without changing template:helpbox itself, the only way I can think of making something float is if it's an image. Give me a minute, let me see what I can work out. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:56, 28 August 2007 (EDT)
          • Okay, a pretty simple template adjustment. Try this: {{helpbox|left=true}} (and you can take out all the blurb stuff). -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 02:00, 28 August 2007 (EDT)
            • Doesnt seem to be working--SacValleyDweller 02:07, 28 August 2007 (EDT)
              • I'm lost. Sorry... :( -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 02:11, 28 August 2007 (EDT)
                • Quite alright, it don't have to be pretty to be functional, thanks anyway ;)--SacValleyDweller 02:15, 28 August 2007 (EDT)
                  • Okay, got it. Just had to take some time to add some extra table code and pad the margins. Take a look at the left and see if that's what you're looking for. If so, here's the code for it: {{helpbox|left=true}}. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:01, 28 August 2007 (EDT)
                    • Whatever you did on my userpage: NICE! Thank you very much! --SacValleyDweller 18:39, 28 August 2007 (EDT)
                      • So you like the box I added and the new centered helpbox? You're welcome. :)--MiamiVolts (talk) 20:20, 28 August 2007 (EDT)
                        • Oh, that was you, Miami. Thought it was Ryan. Gotta pay atentionn to those sigs, no avys here XO. Thanks again! --SacValleyDweller 22:26, 28 August 2007 (EDT)
                          • Both of us, working separately on slightly different challenges, actually. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:33, 28 August 2007 (EDT)
