******* By the way, in other news, Paul C from 3 Heroes Podcast, has some pretty cool interviews lined up with some of the other artists. He's not making them public yet until they are a sure thing, so I don't feel at liberty to say who they are. However, he's agreed to give Heroes Wiki a transcribed copy, which I thought was very nice. I also posited a few questions for him that I thought we might be interested in. He's also going to try to get some artwork out of them. Look for more on that later... :) -- {{User:Ryangibsonstewart/sig}} 01:32, 27 July 2007 (EDT) |

Upcoming interview
Jordan Kotzebue and Travis Kotzebue have agreed to an interview next week, Friday 7/27. They did the art for the How Do You Stop an Exploding Man? series, and Travis also did some of the art for Fathers & Daughters. It should be a phone interview, if all works out. Feel free to submit interview questions below. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 19:11, 21 July 2007 (EDT)
- Due to scheduling conflicts, we are postponing the interview until Wednesday 8/1. Submit questions below. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:05, 27 July 2007 (EDT)
Interview Questions
- How did you guys get into drawing comics?
- Did you solicit NBC, or did they find you?
- Did NBC offer the project to both of you? How did you decide who would do which parts?
- What's it like working with your brother?
- How do you coordinate your work?
- You both have similar styles of art. Is that intentional or just a happy coincidence?
- Travis, you did part of the art for Fathers & Daughters, and Micah Gunnell did the other half. Is there a reason two artists worked on the same novel?
- What research did you do for your Heroes work?
- Jesse Alexander and Aron Coleite wrote the Exploding Man series. What kind of directions did they give you, and where did you use more of your own creative license?
- Did NBC give you any notes on your work? Was there anything you had to change?
- Do you have any plans to do any more Heroes novels?
- Travis, you did work for Ben 10, which also uses art run by the Man of Action artists that are working on graphic novels for Heroes this summer. Were your submissions for that show a cooperative effort with them? Did you offer them any advice for their summer series of Heroes novels?--MiamiVolts (talk) 00:57, 22 July 2007 (EDT)
Postpone?
I haven't heard back from the brothers yet, so there's a chance this might not happen tomorrow. We might have to postpone. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:29, 26 July 2007 (EDT)
- To clarify, you mean that they haven't replied they got the questions, correct?--MiamiVolts (talk) 00:02, 27 July 2007 (EDT)
- No. I'm doing a phone interview with them. I sent them all the information (phone number, time and date) and asked them to write me back to confirm, but they haven't done that yet. We'll see what happens. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:17, 27 July 2007 (EDT)
- So you're sending them now another e-mail asking them to confirm 8/1?--MiamiVolts (talk) 01:07, 27 July 2007 (EDT)
- I just got an email back from Travis. He said Jordan can't do it tomorrow and asked if we could set up a time next week. I emailed and asked if Wednesday 8/1 is okay. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:13, 27 July 2007 (EDT)
