After Brody Mitchum dumps Claire Bennet's body in the creek, it is autopsied by a coroner in Odessa, TX.
Character History
Collision
The coroner performs an autopsy on Claire, and determines that the cause of death was the cranial puncture wound from the tree branch. She also notes that that the other injuries are post-mortem. The coroner removes the branch, and leaves the room to receive a telephone call. As the coroner is absent, Claire's powers begin to heal her. Claire revives, closes her autopsy incisions, and sneaks out of the morgue undetected. The coroner then reenters the morgue, surprised to see Claire's body missing.
Notes
- The injury to Claire's brain seems to act as an "off" switch. Not only does she not heal the fatal wound itself until the foreign object is removed, but she also stops healing subsequent wounds (those she sustained when Brody dumped her body, or those which result from the autopsy) until the foreign body is removed.
