Reason for name
- See here for a good primer on what luminescence is. Light generation and illumination don't accurately describe the ability as those terms don't imply that the light emission is coming from all over Howard's body. Luminescence implies his whole body, not just his hands and not just as a ball of light next to him.--MiamiVolts (talk) 06:02, 26 February 2008 (EST)
- The terms used in the graphic novel are "I am his light", "shall be blinded", "I am the light of the world". I don't know if that is official enough discription, we could have it simply be "Light". Luminescence is a scientific term for it. -Lөvөl 12:12, 26 February 2008 (EST)
- There's nothing that says the term has to be scientific. However, I personally think "luminescence" is acceptable. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 12:48, 26 February 2008 (EST)
- I agree. Luminescence seems like the right term for now to describe the ability. (Admin 12:57, 26 February 2008 (EST))
