Realization needed
Is there anybody that is able to find the realization for this image? - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:09, 30 December 2006 (EST)
- From the context, I'm guessing it's supposed to be Hiro waving to Ando to stop the truck in OGL. However, the only shot of this is super wide. Hiro's about 50 pixels tall.--Hardvice (talk) 01:23, 30 December 2006 (EST)
- Oh wait, no. I guess it's him reaching for the comic in DLB.--Hardvice (talk) 01:24, 30 December 2006 (EST)
- ...of which there's no shot from that angle.--Hardvice (talk) 01:25, 30 December 2006 (EST)
- So I guess we scrap it? - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:28, 30 December 2006 (EST)

- Ok, I took a stab at it. From One Giant Leap Part 2 at 01:42 remaining, you see the two middle panels of the comic. The panel on the right is Image:01x02 9thWonders 14 12.jpg, but the panel on the left is Image:ClaireAndTheCat-Panel9.jpg from Claire and the Cat. I believe that the two middle comic panels are "filler" from work that Tim Sale did before the series, and that only the bottom panel was intended to be realized in the scene. If so, then this Image is actually a missing panel from Claire and the Cat - a shot of Hiro from the perspective of the Image of Himself, and his raised hands are him pushing on the glass. That being said, we can "force" a realization by matching it to either (1) 00:57 remaining where Hiro is waving at Ando about the Truck or (2) 00:42 remaining where Hiro has just frozen time and still has his arms up in the air. --Orne 17:59, 10 January 2007 (EST)
- Wow, I'm impressed. Do you want to get a screenshot? I'd say 00:57 remaining is the better choice.
I'll add a note to "Claire and the Cat".I couldn't find any way to make the note sound non-speculative. Oh well. - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 06:40, 11 January 2007 (EST)- Hrm. I just found the panel again in a scene in Don't Look Back, again used as filler. Weird. I'm starting to think I may have to over to eBay and buy one of the convention comic books just to get the real story... --Orne 10:07, 11 January 2007 (EST)
- I included the image in a gallery on 9th Wonders!, and it really is part of the Hiro showing/grabbing the comic from Ando. If there's no screenshot of the realization, that's fine. Maybe the producers didn't think people would go through the comic with a fine-toothed comb, and so they didn't include a correlating shot of every panel. - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 14:40, 11 January 2007 (EST)
