Claude Rains

Everyone knows this is an alias, right?--Hardvice (talk) 01:37, 30 January 2007 (EST)

I agree. It seems during the episode that he is not referring to himself but to Claude Raines, who played the Invisible Man on film. Perhaps we should revert back to Claude until we are absolutely sure of his last name. Disney42 01:39, 30 January 2007 (EST)
Is it? I figured either "Claude" took on the name in homage to the original actor... OR it's a joke by the writers and his name really IS Claude Rains. Have they said for certain yet? We do know his name is "Claude" or at least the writers are calling him that, so it's possible that his name is actually Claude Rains... or that he's using that as an alias. I think, like Eden McCain, we call him Claude Rains until we're given a different name. Though if we want to revert back to just Claude there's no harm in doing so of course. I don't think we need to revert back ... he's definitely calling himself that. But the interview with Chris Eccleston (and his performance of the line) seem to indicate that he was being sarcastic in calling himself "Claude Rains".--Hardvice (talk) 01:52, 30 January 2007 (EST)
Christopher Eccleston? Sarcastic? But he was never sarcastic as Dr. Who! Oh...wait... "Would you mind not farting while I'm trying to save the world?" (Admin 01:55, 30 January 2007 (EST))
In an interview (I'm not going to locate it now, but it may have been the latest CBR interview - oh, and definitely an EW article) they said they named him in homage of Claude Rains. I say keep it. Real or not, he's going by it. - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 06:59, 30 January 2007 (EST)

Rains isn't his last name:

HS: Do you know if the writers intended any significance to the name "Claude," because of the name of the first actor to play an invisible man?

CE: The first time I appear as Claude, I make a joke about that, so it is a homage, I think, to Claude Raines.

HS: Does Claude have a last name?

CE: I don't know, no.
