We need lead images and a standard size (I'm guessing 450x350, since that's the same as most other pics) before we can set up the portal. Unrelated: I cut my index finger cooking dinner and am typing with my middle finger on my right hand. This has taught me that "Heroes" is perilously close to "Herpes".--Hardvice (talk) 21:54, 4 January 2007 (EST)

  • Well, now, I wouldn't call that "perilous" at all! :)

Okay, ideas for lead pics...

  • Fate vs. free will — Maybe Hiro kissing Charlie?
  • Family - either the Petrellis or the Sanderses (my vote is the Sanderses in the Utah woods)
  • Heroism — How about this pic? Pretty heroic!
  • Loyalty vs. treachery — Jessica and DL fighting?
  • Moral ambiguity — Lots of choices: Sylar and Brian? Or a split Niki/Jessica picture? How about Bennet with Claire at Primatech? Or the Haitian silencing Claire?
  • Pressure of responsiblity — Nathan doing something campaign-y? Or Niki at Micah's school.
  • Sacrifice — Eden's suicide seems pretty representative.
  • Secrets and deception - The Haitian and Claire? Claire confessing to her dad?

They're not all ideas of pictures, sorry. (This is not an easy subject.) Other ideas? - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:14, 4 January 2007 (EST)

New Pic for Logic/Emotion

I changed the pic of for logic vs. emotion from Jessica to Peter and Nathan. I think they're much more representative of the struggle between following your mind/heart. Also, it's the right size. - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 15:27, 25 January 2007 (EST)

Correct Category?

I think that the "Women in Refrigerators" and "One Punch Knockout" articles aren't actually themes. I would say that they are both more of a "Reference" than a "Recurring Theme" and should be moved into the appropriate category. --The Mysterious Major Despard 18:59, 27 October 2007 (EDT)

  • What are they references to?--Hardvice (talk) 19:02, 27 October 2007 (EDT)
    • Okay, maybe not a reference - that just came to mind because the WiR article referred to the Green Lantern incident. But they aren't themes. Recurring 'motifs' maybe... Perhaps, then, the portal should be renamed to "Recurring Themes, Symbols and Motifs" or something like that? --The Mysterious Major Despard 19:07, 27 October 2007 (EDT)
      • I agree that one punch knockout seems a bit out of place, though it doesn't bother me personally. I think of Women in Refrigerators as a code name of sorts for the recurring theme of female (and I suppose male) victimization. I still see it as a theme, despite it not having "vs." in the title, or having a traditional name. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 20:59, 27 October 2007 (EDT)
