Consensus Check
Okay, to discuss the name of this ability, I think we should go ahead and try something a bit different to find consensus. Rather than "voting" for a name you think is the best, only sign your name under a name if you are completely opposed to it. And, as with any consensus check, be sure to add comments or discussion so we all know why you feel this way. Now, not signing your name could mean a few things. First, it could mean that you totally love and support the name. On the flip side, it could mean that you don't think it's the best name, but you're not opposed to it, or you don't want to stand in the way of the name. See Heroes Wiki talk:Community Portal#Consensus checks for more details and discussion on this new method of checking for consensus.
I'll also note that this new method is being test piloted for Mr. Shaw's ability. If you would like to comment on the method for doing the consensus check, please don't comment here--please keep the comments below just to discussion about the ability. Comments about the consensus check method should be added to the community portal's talk page.
To begin, I'll use the names that I've seen bandied about at Talk:Mr. Shaw and Episode talk:1961#New Abilities. If I've missed one, feel free to add it. Remember, only add your signature if you are opposed to the ability name. Not adding a name doesn't necessarily mean you think it's the best name, but that you are consenting that if that name is chosen, you will not be completely opposed. Don't forget your comments if you are opposed to an ability name. I'll also point out that there may be a few valid names left over in the end. We'll see what we do when we get to that point--maybe a vote, maybe more discussion, maybe one will be the clear favorite. I'll also point out that if all names below have opposing editors (or if there is a signature under every name below), then that means there is no consensus for a descriptive name, and the title of this article will be "Mr. Shaw's ability".
