Category talk:Abilities named after possessor
I am uneasy with this category. It unnaturally elevates the Heroes Wiki's designation of names for abilities and makes it seem that the names we have ascribed to certain abilities are somehow official. In actuality, Alejandro's ability, Tom's ability, and other abilities are not named after their possessors. Those abilities have never been given names on Heroes. We have simply used the possessor's names to identify the ability, and really, just to name the page. This category highlights the fact that we could not come to a consensus on a name, or that not enough information was given about the power to name it. We certainly do not--and would not--do the same thing for characters who are named after other characters, such as Linderman's guard, Abe's follower, Eden's stepmother, or Howard Lemay's son. In the end, if somebody wants to see all the powers that are named after possessors, they can go to the ability name origination page and simply do a quick search for all the times "possessor" appears on the page. Plus, that page is dynamic and will change as ability names change. This category page must be manually updated. I'd like to get rid of this category.
