The Haitian recollects his childhood village where his father Guillame was a leader. For years, the village remained untouched by the Tonton Macoutes. Guillame is a strong and beloved leader, revered by the villagers for his great power. When the Tonton Macoutes come to wreak havoc on the village, Guillame tries to stop them, but he himself is thwarted.
