Biological Perpetuity

Biological perpetuity is, simply put, immortality. However, perpetuity should not be confused with sponteneous regeneration, which makes the possessor much vulnerable to injury. Perpetuity, on the other hand, simply suppresses the body's natural tendency to break down after a limited period of time. A person with biological perpetuity, while still vulnerable to injury, would never die of old age.

This ability would be more or less completely useless in a fight. For this reason, a character with biological perpetuity would most likely be a mentor figure, providing others with the wisdom and knowledge with the character had obtained over their long life span.

One area of ambiguity is the apparent age of someone who possesses biological perpetuity. The ability could halt external aging at some level of development, or it could allow the body to age eternally, but preventing it from breaking down.

Crystallogenesis

Crystallogenesis is the ability to grow crystal structures at will. As growing crystals within living tissue would be extremely painful and damaging, this power would more likely involve the creation of crystal seeds and subsequent controlled growth within external materials.

This power would be extremely useful in a battle. The crystals, with sharp points and edges, could be used as weapons or, depending on their density, as defensive shields. Their refractive properties could also be used against attacks such as lazers.

Several areas of this abilities are ambiguous. The density of the crystals could be lower, allowing for faster growth, or greater, making them more durable. Whether the crystal growth would consume physical materials is also unclear. Although material consumption makes more sense from a scientific standpoint, no consumption would allow for a more effective use of the ability.

Desintigration

Desintigration is the ability to break down materials into its component elements, most of which exist as powder or gas at room temperature. This power breaks down the bonds between atoms in molecules, which then rebond into their most basic molecular forms, usually fine-grain powders or gaseous clouds. For this reason, complex molecules such as organic compounds, which have more bonds, would be harder to break down.

Desintigration could be used in several different ways. The obvious use is to destroy objects or create holes, such as in walls. It could also be used to cause injury in battle, although the complexity of organic compounds means that this would take longer than disintigrating other materials.

This power could stem from two main sources: an electromagnetic field or acoustic waves.

Hibernation

Hibernation is the ability to place oneself in a comatose state where biological needs and processes are greatly reduced.

Hibernation could be used to survive in low-oxygen environments. It might also be used to speed the healing process.

Lazer Emission

Lazer emission is the ability to produce focused beams of lazer light from the body.

This ability could be used to cut through substances or to attack and opponent. Depending on the extend of the ability, it might also be able to be used to simply produce light for illumination.

Metallogenesis

Metallogenesis is the ability to generate metals and metallic compounds at will. This ability would most likely involve using the metal found in the human body and shaping it, either within the body or as it is expelled, into usable objects.

This ability could be used to create weapons such as knives or other blades. It might also be used to expell the objects with velocity, allowing them to be used as projectiles.

Shielding

Shielding is the ability to create and sustain durable or even impenetrable energy fields at will.

This ability would be used primarily for defense.

One area of ambiguity is whether the shield would deflect energy as well as physical matter. If so, its use would be even greater, as it might be able to block light, lazers, or perhaps even telekinesis.
