Not an example?

This could go on any of your recently uploaded picture, but I choose this one (lucky it)! These don't really seem like examples of regeneration. I would take a leap of faith if they had the text "I faked my death with a carefully planned accident" in it (but then, it wouldn't make a good image. I think it would be acceptable to just note these on the example page with just text, rather than this pictures. Generally, I think pictures should help show what is happening. This is just a picture of Adam. -- Lulu (talk) 23:34, 3 January 2008 (EST)

  • Agree. A note on rapid cell regeneration seems to be a better fit than an image of an example which is not really an image of an example. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 23:40, 3 January 2008 (EST)
    • Yeah, a note is way better than this image. --Ice Vision (talk) 23:51, 3 January 2008 (EST)
  • After rethinking it, it could be argued that this is a photo demonstrating him being able to live in the 1950s 1700s, despite being several hundred years old. That however seems pointless to list, if it has already been listed. Food for thought. -- Lulu (talk) 23:52, 3 January 2008 (EST)
    • Wouldn't almost any image of Adam show that he's older than dirt yet looks like a young buck? -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:03, 4 January 2008 (EST)
      • Indeed. I stand by my original idea that this isn't a particularly helpful demonstration, but listing something like: "He was able to live into the 1700s <this picture>"; "He was able to live into the 1800s <picture>" "He was able to live into the 1900s <picture>" etc, could seems akin to "Matt read this person's mind <here's a Picture of Matt doing that.>"; "Matt reads the mind of so-and-so <Picture of Matt's face>", etc. I see reason behind including this image, but, overall, I think it isn't needed. -- Lulu (talk) 00:12, 4 January 2008 (EST)
        • In the case of Matt's "who farted" face, we're still documenting individual instances (even if the picture isn't all that helpful). But Adam's longevity is really just one long example of his power's effects, and I don't think we need to document it individually--once, if at all, is sufficient (maybe the 1977 picture to show he survived to the "future" from Feudal Japan). My gut tells me that even that isn't really a specific instance of his power. It would be like documenting every time Candice appeared as Candice rather than Betty--technically, it's a use of her power, but really, since she did it all the time, the first one was sufficient.--Hardvice (talk) 00:18, 4 January 2008 (EST)
          • Good way to put it. Works for me. -- Lulu (talk) 00:22, 4 January 2008 (EST)
            • I'll mark the non-illustrative images for deletion then. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:26, 4 January 2008 (EST)
