Death discrepancy

Not a big deal, but I just wanted to list my initial reasoning somewhere. I was under the impression that Ando interpreted his death scene in 9th Wonders! to be by Sylar, but not due to the explosion (possibly in a scene similar to the one that takes place in Isaac's loft, had Hiro not showed up). From the picture, it doesn't seem that Ando was in an explosion (eg - no burnt flesh), but rather was crumpled and mangled (possibly an effect of telekinesis or enhanced strength (though I know we don't know Sylar had the latter at any point). Also, the original picture description seems to indicate that it was due to something other than the explosion (ie - "at Sylar's hands"). I have no problem with leaving it as is, but just wanted to list my thoughts somewhere. :) --Stevehim 16:23, 10 November 2008 (EST)

  • Thanks, Stevehim. I think it's a matter of interpretation. I've never interpreted Ando saying "I die. Sylar kills me." as a death by telekinesis or anything other than an explosion. If Sylar was the cause for the explosion, then yes, it would be a death "at Sylar's hands". But really, that's just the description that a fan put for the uploaded picture, not a canon description, of course. Also Tim Sale's philosophy is to get the story across in simplest way possible...though dying from an explosion doesn't necessarily mean being burned to death--certainly it could mean something falling on Ando, for instance, and crumpling him in such a way... In the end, I think it's important to not assume that there's a discrepancy unless we know there is one. I tried to word it that way by saying that "some have found a discrepancy"...but I don't want to assume that just because there could be holes in the plot that there definitely are holes in the plot....Great article, by the way! -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:03, 10 November 2008 (EST)
    • Thanks. :) And I can see it being as something falling on him due to the explosion... I just didn't think of that initially. In light of that, it could even be removed entirely. I have a list of other places to add this to on my userpage, and I'm gonna try to get to it tonight. Thanks for adding the character links and to the portal. --Stevehim 17:13, 10 November 2008 (EST)

don't look back

Can I add this (him answering the phone, etc) in notes as being an alternate future? I added it in history but I understand why someone removed it. -- Tristan0709 talk 01:11, 3 January 2009 (EST)

  • It was removed because that's a different Ando from a different alternate future. When Hiro jumped ahead 5 weeks (Don't Look Back), that was a future in which the explosion occurred and Ando was in Japan. Later, when Hiro and Ando jumped ahead five years (Five Years Gone), that was a different future in which the explosion occurred and Ando was in New York. Two different Andos, just like the Ando who kills Hiro is a completely different Ando from a different future. That's why it was removed. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:59, 3 January 2009 (EST)
    • What I meant was I understand why it was removed, but can it be put as a note anyway? -- Tristan0709 talk 02:07, 3 January 2009 (EST)
      • Only that the Future Ando from Don't Look Back shouldn't be confused with the Future Ando who is killed in the explosion. Yeah, I guess that makes sense. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 02:36, 3 January 2009 (EST)

Why are you keeping this article? There was no Ando Masahashi in explosion future - he died when the bomb went off. Or when Sylar killed him in present. Anyway, he was dead. Like Micah, D.L. or Candice. Can't see articles about then, however. Green.gif AltesUTC CH
