- I think you were mentioning this in your summary when you created the article, but do you think they're really noteworthy enough within Heroes to need their own article/redirect? For instance Cisco powered some of the content on NBC's website, yet we don't (and I think shouldn't) have an article about the company itself. I'd say it suffices to link to their site in the few references we have to them. (Admin 00:49, 14 August 2007 (EDT))
- I agree. I like the references to OpenTV, but if I click on a link to them, I'd rather get their website than a page about Heroes Interactive. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:06, 14 August 2007 (EDT)
- I dunno, OpenTV differs from Cisco in that they actually host the HI content for Heroes (we only credit Cisco as the sponsor of a game)... So when you are clicking the poll questions on the HI experience, you actually send to and receive data from OpenTV (not NBC)... However, they are very good in making it so you hardly notice that (you'd never notice you've left NBC's site). And since this is likely to be the only content OpenTV provides for the show, I think a redirect is enough. I wouldn't be opposed to a reference article if you don't like the redirect.--MiamiVolts (talk) 01:18, 14 August 2007 (EDT)
- I don't think either is really necessary. A redirect from the company name to Heroes Interactive doesn't really make sense to me and an article doesn't seem necessary since there's not really anything we need to talk about concerning the company. I think the only real reference to the company we need is just that little bit of trivia that indicates that they're the ones powering the experience. I suggest just killing this redirect/article entirely and just linking to their website in the only place we'll really mention them. (Admin 01:28, 14 August 2007 (EDT))
- Ok, I'll put it as afd. I already linked to their company website. Just found that Wikipedia has a good article on them. Should we use that instead of the corporate website?--MiamiVolts (talk) 01:32, 14 August 2007 (EDT)
- Either is fine with me. I'll delete the redirect. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:35, 14 August 2007 (EDT)
- My preference is to link directly to their website. It seems more polite to send traffic right to them. (Admin 01:37, 14 August 2007 (EDT))
- Just made it so we have both links now.--MiamiVolts (talk) 01:43, 14 August 2007 (EDT)
