- This was my first attempt at writing a full wiki page on my own. I tried to use the Stark Trek page as a model. I noticed that Hiro makes D&D references, but we didn't have a D&D page to put them, so this is my attempt. That bad thing is, I nave to leave work early now, and I'm sure it is full of bugs and format and other issues. There are also more D&D references Iwant to add from episodes, I just have to take more time to find them. This is a start. --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 16:07, 31 January 2007 (EST)
- Looks good. The only thing is we need to resize the image to 450x350 (standard size) to include it in the Portal. It's probably best just to paste it into a 450x350 image and leave whitespace around it.--Hardvice (talk) 16:08, 31 January 2007 (EST)
- You did a great job with the article. I'm sure it'll get edited, but that's kind of the point, eh? If you need help, let us know. :) - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 16:17, 31 January 2007 (EST)
- Some of these are actually not D&D references. The "red mage" stuff is old-school Final Fantasy, as are the other spells listed (D&D doesn't use magic points).--Hardvice (talk) 04:25, 1 February 2007 (EST)
- I thought the computer gamed D&D's 'Bauldar's Gate' used magic points (called manna) as well as hit points, and I'm almost positive the older TSR Pool of Radiance series used magic points. HHHHhhmmm. It's been nearly 20 years since I used to play the books version of D&D....would it be better to change the page from 'specific' of D&D, to more 'Generic' of 'RPG Genre'?--HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 08:07, 01 February 2007 (EST)
- The Pool of Radiance games (and the Dragonlance games of the same period) used spell slots and memorization like the tabletop game. God, I loved those games.--Hardvice (talk) 16:43, 9 February 2007 (EST)
- Wow - good flashback. I haven't thought of those in ages! --Fcphantom 16:46, 9 February 2007 (EST)

- I'd like to point out that Hiro appears to be playing 2nd Ed. AD&D, rather than the current edition. Is this significant enough to note in the article?Kpenguin
- I'm not familiar with either version. If there's something in particular that makes you think that, I don't see any problem in pointing that out. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 05:27, 17 September 2007 (EDT)
For Great Justice, Move every Page
Should we move this to the more-generic "Role-Playing Games"? A lot of his references are to video game RPGs, but I don't think we need two separate articles.--Hardvice (talk) 16:11, 16 February 2007 (EST)
- If I were a bigger nerd, I'd be able to weigh in. :) Yeah, if the references listed are not all about D&D, then yes, this page should definitely move. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 16:25, 16 February 2007 (EST)
- With a little caption finagling, we can even keep the same picture.--Hardvice (talk) 16:29, 16 February 2007 (EST)
- With the new title, this page just seems very ... kinky. :) — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 16:43, 16 February 2007 (EST)

Do we need a "Generic RPG Jargon" heading? Some of those are just too ambiguous to attach to a particular game. --Ted C 16:58, 16 February 2007 (EST)
Hiro's blog moved?
The Stardate links now seem to take you to an NBC sitemap page. Stevehim 10:59, 5 October 2008 (EDT)
- Which ones? All the ones I clicked on took me to the correct blog entries. However, you have to scroll down a bit (past a listing of shows, etc.) to find the entry. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 11:10, 5 October 2008 (EDT)
- Ah, I see. I did, indeed, fail to scroll far enough. Sorry about that. :-$ Stevehim 11:19, 5 October 2008 (EDT)
