Talk:Teleportation trainee

I've put this page up for deletion. There's really no need for it, and it isn't named correctly either. --mc_hammark 17:16, 1 March 2010 (EST)

  • While I don't really mind either way, this page is a tad unnecessary. If we needed to, we could simply put on the teleportation article "a participant at Tracy's special training facility had this ability". Also, I don't see a need for the word "trainee" to be in parthesis. If anything, it should be the other way around.--PJDEP - Talk - Polls and Opinions 17:20, 1 March 2010 (EST)
    • And these pages are more needed? Girl_in_bikini, Green-shirted man, Four-armed carny, Creepy agent, Helicopter co-pilot, Kidnap victim, Los Angeles citizen, and a number of dozen other character pages with almost no information or pertinence to the Heroes-verse are needed? There is a much more likelihood of the trainees being expanded in the future than some of these other characters, and this particular trainee is showing a confirmed manifested ability...that should merit as much consideration for a page as these other miniscule characters. Besides, the future terrorist wants the teleportation (trainee) to have their own character page too! :) --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 03/1/2010 17:30 (EST)
      • Difference being, that they all have something to do with the plot. This one doesn't. Otherwise every single person who appeared at the carnival would have a page. Every person who appeared in any episode, passers by etc etc, anyone drawn in a graphic novel would all have pages. --mc_hammark 17:39, 1 March 2010 (EST)
        • I don't see any harm in keeping the page. I'm not going to fight for it but it isn't disrupting anything. I do think though, that if we keep the page the name has to be changed.--PJDEP - Talk - Polls and Opinions 17:42, 1 March 2010 (EST)
          • If this is going to be kept, it needs to have its name changed. Trainee (teleportation) or teleportation trainee is the way to go. Intuitive Empath - Talk - Contributions 18:07, 1 March 2010 (EST)
            • Exactly, I agree. If articles are made for the other trainees "trainee (teleportation)" way to go. If not "teleportation trainee" or, simply, trainee.--PJDEP - Talk - Polls and Opinions 18:23, 1 March 2010 (EST)
              • I named it following the existing pattern of how Ricky was named, but have no problem with it being changed to another standard. As far as this person not being involved with the plot...those other links I referenced don't have any more plot impact that this one, however, because of the open-endedness of the Specials training facility there is much more plot potential for this person than the bikini girl and some others. I think you were a little premature with the afd tag on this one. --HiroDynoSlayer (talk) 03/1/2010 22:31 (EST)
                • Uh Ricky was labeled like that because there was another Ricky idiot.--WarGrowlmon18 22:39, 1 March 2010 (EST)
                  • There's absolutely no need for name-calling.... HiroDynoSlayer made a simple mistake.--PJDEP - Talk - Polls and Opinions 22:47, 1 March 2010 (EST)
                  • WarGrowlmon18, refrain from personal attacks immediately, or you will be blocked. If you can't control your words, I suggest you leave the conversation.

Ricky's name was fine to use as an example, but this character's name is not "Teleportation". I'll move the page now. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 22:51, 1 March 2010 (EST)

                    • Sorry about that, I'm kinda upset, a good friend of mine died recently and I'm not in the best of moods as a result.--WarGrowlmon18 23:35, 1 March 2010 (EST)
  • Do we agree that this article should be kept then?--PJDEP - Talk - Polls and Opinions 22:56, 1 March 2010 (EST)
    • I don't mind it being kept. --Radicell 03:07, 2 March 2010 (EST)
      • Maybe I was a little soon in putting the afd tag on, I just didn't think that an unknown character, who seems unlikely to ever appear again and had no input towards the plot really deserved a page. If this deserves a page, then I'm sure the officer who named David deserves a page. --mc_hammark 11:13, 2 March 2010 (EST)

Hay squatter‎, are they possibly the same guy? -- Mike the Man-child!

  • I took it to be one of Eli's clones, since the person was wearing the same clothes, if you look here. --mc_hammark 11:30, 10 March 2010 (EST)
