This is the HowTo on creating your own personal Niki/Jessica Sanders HeroesClix.

Preparation

Creating the Figurine

Seperating the dial is easy.

1. Lay out the newspaper, and pick out the basic red, white and black paints. Set aside the thinner and a bright yellow paint for later.
2. Using the knife, seperate the DEO Agent figurine's torso from her legs.
2.1. You can slice the figurine in half and then remove the coat from the legs by making an incision between the tail of the coat and the left hip. If you do this, you'll need to glue the coat together before painting.
2.2 You can also make a circular slice from hip to hip, trying to seperate the legs without touching the coat. You'll need to seperate the coat from the hip before you attempt this.
3. Now, remove the bottom of the combat dials from both the Tombstone and DEO Agent figurines. Take the Tombstone dial and attach it to the DEO Agent. Glue is not neccessary, dials should click into place easily.
4. Begin painting.
5. After the paint has dried, use the superglue to reconnect the torso to the legs. You now have yourself a Niki Sanders How to Stop an Exploding Man figurine.

Painting

1. Paint the figurine in the order below for minimum mess.
2. After you're done, place your brushes in soapy water immediately. The paint dries quickly.
3. Allow time for paint to dry completely on figurine. Mine took two hours.

Tips

  • Model paint tends to be thicker then the factory paint. Because of this, only one layer of paint is neccessary; any more than that will erase the shape of the figurines mold and obscure details.
  • Painting in one direction for the entire figurine will give it a smooth appearance, even if the paint is lumpy.
  • Don't be afraid to use the paint thinner.
  • You can also use the knife to cut away extra paint, going over it again if you cut too deeply.

Black

  • Paint the pants completely black, up to the boots.
  • Color over the Experience ring, name, team, and set symbols. There should only be the cost and combat symbols remaining on the dial.

White

  • Using the size 1 brush, paint the sleeves and the areas around the hair and neck white.
  • Switch brushes to the size 4 and paint the remainder of the coat.
  • Should you choose to, mark the figurine's base with the name "Niki" after the rest of the paint has dried.

Note: The figurine's belt tends to stick together; try to keep the coat and belt seperated as it's drying, or use the knife to reseperate them later.

Red

  • After the white has dried, use the size 1 brush to paint the shirt red.

Yellow

  • The back of the inside of her hair was painted brown in the factory. You'll need to go over it with the size 1 brush and bright yellow.
  • If you only have a basic or dark yellow, then you'll need to use the size 4 brush to paint over the rest of the hair to match.
