Astral Banishment

William banishes an agent of the Varkus Group.

Ability to: Banish people to the Astral Plane, effectively "hollowing out" their bodies.

Astral Banishment is the ability to banish people to the Astral Plane, leaving only hollow, lifeless bodies behind. These bodies simply appear to be comatose people but are in fact the empty shells left behind. When a person is banished to the Astral Plane, all forms of consciousness or life within their body disappear.

Characters

  • William Straye has this ability.
  • William's brother Kyle has a far more advanced version of this ability, allowing him to completely manipulate all aspects of the Astral Plane.

Limits

William has shown that he is able to banish people to the Astral Plane in seconds, however, this leaves him momentarily weakened. While using his ability, his targets experience immense pain and shine bright red. When the process is complete, the target's consciousness is transmitted to the Astral Plane and will remain trapped there until William, or another Astral Manipulator returns them.

William has shown that he is not able to banish his own consciousness into the Astral Plane, despite many repeated attempts. The number of people he can affect at once is currently unknown although the largest he has affected at one time is three.
