At its upfronts on March 16, 2009, SyFy announced that one completely-new drama, Warehouse 13, would begin airing in July 2009. The show centers on two FBI agents, Myka (Joanne Kelly) and Peter (Eddie McClintock), who work at the government's Warehouse 13, which houses supernatural objects. They are assigned to retrieve missing objects and investigate reports of new ones. The dramatic comedy, from Universal Cable Studios, is described as part The X-Files, part Raiders of the Lost Ark and part Moonlighting. SyFy also announced that Stargate spin-off series Stargate Universe would begin this fall, and BSG spin-off series Caprica would begin next year (2010).
