I need Help!

OK, under each person, I want the automated bulleted list that one gets from Template:NovelsCreated with the select-who and use-anywhere utility of the Template:NovelsCreatedInline. Does something that does that exist? if no, can it be created or do I need to make such a list manually and abandon the automation?--SacValleyDweller (talk) 00:54, 24 January 2008 (EST)

Miami's attempt at making it work

  • To add a list vertically seems to me a waste of space, so I modified it to be a table as I suggested. If you don't like it, let me know and I can change the standard NovelsCreated template to accept a |who= (which it appears Level has already done on his own user template). If you do like this table method, the release date can be added too. Let me know if you would like me help with that.--MiamiVolts (talk) 20:28, 24 January 2008 (EST)
    • I noticed in your recent changes comments that the table works okay for now, but you prefer to have a bulleted list. Is that correct?--MiamiVolts (talk) 21:40, 24 January 2008 (EST)
      • That is correct, a bulleted list containing GN's Drawn, colored, and/or inked by a given person is what I want. The table, strictly on a basis of functionality and compactness is great and would serve my personal needs just fine. However, the vision for this is gelling to the form of referring user's of and HeroesARG to this page for their refference, perhaps with HeroesARG using transplanting, and possibly modifying, this page for use as one of their pages (like they did with this page). For this purpose, easy browseability is key.
The table is not as conducive to this as is the list. With the table, a button of indiscernible function must be clicked to alphabetize something, then the table must be scanned to find the data.
The bulleted list, however, is more browseable because of what can be done with the more intuitive components. The TOC can be simply read, enabling quick identification of who did what kind of work for the GNs. Click a name in the TOC, and what works the person did is instantly identified. --SacValleyDweller (talk) 22:57, 24 January 2008 (EST)
        • One more thing: the button in the table alphabetizes by first name, not last name like I want it to. --SacValleyDweller (talk) 01:14, 25 January 2008 (EST)
