What with Samuel's quest to look after his family, I'd say that this page is in need of an update and there are some stubs to be fixed as well. --[[User:Mc hammark|mc_hammark]] 17:42, 18 October 2009 (EDT) |

TOC issue
Is there anyway to not show the toc on this page? ---- ![]()

- I took it out. Just cleared out {{tocright}} and replaced it with __NOTOC__. (Admin 13:42, 4 January 2007 (EST))

- Just out of curiosity, why did you want the TOC removed? I added it back in, but can take it out again if needed. Any reason? - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:25, 9 January 2007 (EST)
- I didn't like it. It's fine now under the pic. ----

- I agree, it's fine on the right. - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:38, 9 January 2007 (EST)

Lead Pic
For the lead pic, I'd actually much rather see a picture of the Petrellis around the table for brunch, or else a picture of the most dysfunctional family, The Sanders/Hawkins Union. - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 16:56, 4 January 2007 (EST)
page for each family
for the list of families, I tried to create a link to the most prominent character from each family. Do we want to make disambig pages or regular pages or family tree pages for each family? Thoughts? ---- ![]()

- I actually had this thought today. I think just a disambig page would be fine. I was actually thinking of a modified disambig page with a bit more info and maybe some background on the families. I don't have a clear idea yet - I'd have to write it to see how it turns out. - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 01:37, 9 January 2007 (EST)
- Family trees would actually be pretty cool. We could do them as image maps (like the Heroes image map used for Category:Characters). I think they'd look really slick. There wouldn't necessarily be a great deal of content on each family's page, but they'd be cool for navigation at least.--Hardvice (talk) 02:48, 9 January 2007 (EST)
- For easier maintenance, we could do them with tables, too, like this:

- Family trees are a great idea. I don't think there will be too much maintenance on them - it's not like people on the show are having babies everyday, or learning who their grandfathers are everyday. I like the image map, but that's just my opinion.
The other thing to remember is that most of the families will be small - 2-3 people. The one you just did is the largest one there will be. - RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 06:12, 9 January 2007 (EST)
- I like the map idea, too keep them simple and clean. But good work on that one! ----

- the Suresh Family was missing from the list of families portion. I took the liberty of adding it. If anyone objects, holler. SacValleyDweller 01:32, 30 July 2007 (EDT)
Templates for each family
I was wondering if you could make templetes for each family beacuse you have templetes for the graphic novels' characters. Rayhond 00:35, 17 October 2007 (EDT)
- Do you mean a navbar like this one? It's possible, but all of the character pages already have the character navbar, and more than one navbar looks kind of ugly. Family relationships are already noted in the character's infobox, too.--Hardvice (talk) 00:44, 17 October 2007 (EDT)
- Agree. However, I think we could have a conversation about a family tree on character pages. I like the idea on the French wiki, though I wonder if it'd be too much on some already crowded pages. -- RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 00:55, 17 October 2007 (EDT)
