Devon STORM was born into a secret assassins guild (February 08, 1872 during a total solar eclipse). This guild is a multi-national organization that trains its own in the arts of assassination and stealth. They sell there services worldwide. Devon trained primarily in the art of hand to hand combat and paired weapons (Katana and Shoto).<br> |

After becoming a master swordsman and hand to hand combatant, he moved on to conventional weapons. He was named a master at 16 and began taking assignments. After performing the required number of missions for the guild (123 successes and 0 failures, the second quickest in their history to complete the feat at 20 years and 3 months), he was allowed to take a sabbatical for one year.<br> |

During this leave he traveled the world. The guild kept 90% of the fees (reserving 60% for Devon's retirement). In his travels he kept feeling unease as if he were being followed. He would search and use all of the techniques at his disposal (counter tracking, etc.) to no avail. He could not shake the feeling that he was being followed. He continued to travel eventually reaching the Himalayas (near Nepal). Here he stumbled upon an ancient temple. He could not resist and his curiosity got the better of him. He entered and started to explore. The date was January 08, 1899. The date of a total solar eclipse lasting 1 minute and 53 seconds. The longest minute and fifty-three seconds of his life. The temple came alive, alive in his mind. He received visions of past lives. He saw his likeness in what he determined to be his ancestors. They appeared to wield a consistent set of supernatural abilities. Mastery over the elements including energy. The ability to heal and heal others. When the burst of visions was over he slumped to the ground and passed out.<br> |

When he came to, he decided to return home. He could not continue his travels and did not have the strength to return home. He instead made it as far as the foot of the mountain and rested in the village there. While convalescing, he reflected on his first 21 years. Not happy with what he saw, he thought of running but was afraid of the guilds reach. He would return home. A raiding party came to pillage the tiny village. He was no hero not by any stretch of the imagination. He never did anything without a direct order before his sabbatical. He sprang into action. He battled the marauding band but appeared to sustain a fatal wound (arrowed in the back while saving a peasant). Left for dead, the band finished there work and left.<br> |

They branded him a traitor and deserter. Deeds punishable by death. They executed him of course and he had enough control to play dead. He thinks he has found that descendant in Mason STORM. He tried to reach him but Building 26 got to him first and he has gone into hiding. He is searching for him. To teach and guide him. To see if he is the next AVATAR. Has he seen the last of his guild? Will he find and train Mason? Does Mason possess any abilities at all? He does not know, but he will make a difference in this world as he searches on. One person can make a difference. |
